Covid-19 Update

Dr. Christine Garrity Is OPEN!!

Ontario Public Health has given permission to fully re-open, following new guidelines set out by the College of Chiropractors.

The safety and health of my patients is of utmost importance to me. I would like to share my new office policies, procedure and changes which reflect the requirements and recommendations from WHO, Ontario Public Health and the CCO.


  1. Screening procedures before entry to clinic
  2. Mandatory face mask – covering both nose and mouth
  3. Hand sanitization upon entry and exit
  4. Temperature check
  5. Compliance with Contract Tracing Journal
  6. Arrive alone at appointed time, unless the presence of a guardian is required
  7. Feel free to bring personal table covering
  8. Doctor isolation gown can be requested if patient, or someone in their household, is vulnerable

Ontario Ministry of Health COVID-19 Patient Screening

  • Did you have contact with someone with acute respiratory illness or travel outside the province in the last 14 days?
  • Do you have a confirmed case of Covid-19 or close contact with someone with Covid-19?
  • Are you waiting on results of a Covid-19 test?
  • Do you have any of the following symptoms?
    • Cough
    • Fever
    • Shortness of breath
    • Difficuly breathing
    • Sore throat
    • Difficulty swallowing
    • Loss of taste of smell

    • Chills
    • Unusual headache
    • Unexplained tiredness, muscle aches
    • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain
    • Runny nose, nasal congestion unrelated to seasonal allergies

  • If you are 70 or older, do you have any of the following:
    • Delirium
    • Unexplained falls
    • Acute functional decline or worsening of chronic condition

Staff only will handle the phone and make all phone calls on behalf of the patient.

  • Touch free hand sanitizers, soap dispenser and paper towel dispenser.
  • Installation of vinyl flooring in treatment rooms.
  • Installation of Air Purifier.
  • Removal of magazines, books, soft toys, fabric chairs, wooden foot stools, water cooler, coat rack, chair massagers.
  • One chair in waiting room.
  • Shut down of water cooler and water bottles available upon request.
  • Maintaining air circulation via 3 continuously open windows.
  • Patient gowns available upon request.
  • Equipment/prodcuts in treatment rooms stored in protective plastic bags.
  • Masks and gloves for sale.
  • Appropriate signage in clinic.

Longer appointment time to allow each patient to proceed directly to treatment room and allow for full, thorough sanitation post treatment.

SANITIZATION PROCEDURES: PRODUCTS

These will be utilized after EVERY TREATMENT: WHO approved cleaners and disinfectants and paper towels to clean and sanitize all surfaces, touch points in treatment rooms, bathroom, hallway, check-out desk, waiting room, doors, outside stair railing. Disinfectant spray in air along with air purifier.
